I am inspired by the sheer brilliance of Turner’s compositions and incident light to van Gogh’s ability to convey movement through undulating line and bold impasto and the Impressionist’s willingness to break with centuries of tradition and sacrifice detail for overall effect.

While being involved in the art of painting, I have also been a dealer,  appraiser and art historian of fine antique paintings since 1961.  Specializing in Old Master and 19th century European and American art since the 1960's I also studied painting conservation with Carroll Wales from the Fogg Art Museum of Harvard University.

I presently act as a private consultant in matters of fine art and am the curator of a well known and important collection of paintings located in  Miami Florida and on loan to several institutions worldwide.  I have held this position since 2007 and continue to write on several artists including Rembrandt, Rubens and other Dutch, Flemish and Italian masters of the 16th through 18th centuries.

Earlier when active as a dealer and appraiser, I was a member of the Appraisers Association of America having been for more than thirty years. While there I held the highest level of membership expertise as a “Certified” member.  I am also a member of the Panel of Experts of the American Arbitration Association for matters of Fine Art and a member of the Broward County Panel of Expert Arbitrators.  On several occasions I have worked with law enforcement agencies at the local, state and federal levels as an art expert, trial witness and consultant including all court systems and the United States Federal Bureau of Investigation.
